Webinar #92 “ALERT LEVEL 1: Puwede na ba lumabas ang mga Senior?”
The COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdowns have brought a lot of suffering as people had to stay-indoors, isolate when exposed and refrain from social activities. No group has been subjected to difficulties more than our seniors. From the get-go, seniors were at highest risk for infection, hospitalization and even death. As a society that cares deeply for our elders, extraordinary precautions have been taken to prevent our seniors from exposure. Risk of exposure has been a serious concern of our frontline workers, who found it unbearable to think that they could cause an infection of their parents or grandparents.

It has been a long time since we have allowed our seniors to go out and interact with others and for many it has been a lonely journey of silent suffering and stress to be so isolated and so helpless. Now that we have moved into Alert Level 1, is it safe for our seniors to go out?

This Friday on our episode of STOP COVID DEATHS we will do a deep dive on the status of seniors, the vaccination levels, the conditions of seniors that make it difficult for them to be vaccinated and how we can weigh the risks and benefits of “going out”.

The main presenter is Dr. Shelley dela Vega, Director of the Institute for Healthy Aging, National Institutes of Health, with reactor Dr. Nina Gloriani, Chairperson of the Vaccine Expert Panel- Technical Working Group for COVID-19 Vaccines. Opening Remarks to be delivered by Dr. Jose Alvin P. Mojica, Former Chairman of the Dept. of Rehabilitation Medicine at the UP Philippine General Hospital, while the Synthesis and Closing Remarks by Dr. Stella Marie L. Jose, Deputy Director for Health Operations of UP Philippine General Hospital.

Join us and learn from our experts on how to keep our seniors safe as we change the Alert Levels.

Stay Safe. Stay Healthy. Stay Connected.
Together, we can STOP COVID DEATHS!
