Prof. Glen Imbang
Professor Glen Imbang holds double Masters degrees in MS Biology (Developmental Biology , U.P. Diliman) and Master of Engineering and Technology Management (University of Queensland, Australia). He was a World Bank DOST-ESEP scholar for Management of Technology (MoT) Program of DOST.
He was once also served as faculty as Assistant Professor in Biology at the UP Integrated School from 1993 to 2014. Prof. Imbang has excelled himself in extension, research and research writing, where he has the experience and competence to carry out teaching, research, and consultancy in most areas of Technology Management, particularly as an expert in strategic technology planning and technology forecasting and foresight.
In one of his more outstanding extension achievements, he became the first project leader in the entire country to successfully conduct an actual Technology Foresight project for a major Philippine industry (electronics), thus reaping laurels for UP Diliman from the Department of Science and Technology and the APEC Center for Technology Foresight in Thailand.
He also served as consultant and resource person to DOST PCAARD, UNIDO, ASEAN on technology foresight and some Private Institutions on technology research agenda setting. He served as faculty project adviser in almost 50 special project research conducted by the students of the technology Management Center in UP Diliman.
Professor Imbang is also sought after for his expertise in market and technology evaluation of projects and researches that have potential for commercial applications. He has evaluated around 15 TECHNICOM Projects of DOST TAPI.
Professor Imbang is married to Ma. Elena and they have two sons Nigel Glen and Kevin Glen. He works at the UP Technology Management Center in UP Diliman where he teaches Technology Management, Strategic Technology Planning and Technology Acquisition and Assimilation. He has also taught Project Management and continues to advise students in their Special Projects Capstone Project.
