Political strategists, academics to discuss campaign dynamics amid pandemic in Oct. 13 webinar

Representatives from the camps of 2022 contenders Isko Moreno, Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Grace Poe will discuss campaign dynamics and strategies in an online forum to be moderated by Pia Hontiveros of CNN Philippines on October 13, 2021.

“Kanya-kanyang Diskarte: Campaign Dynamics During the Pandemic,” will be the third webinar under the National Forum on Communication and Democracy: Philippine Elections 2022 series, organized by the Philippines Communication Society (PCS) in cooperation with the University of the Philippines’ Internet TV Network, TVUP.

Veteran campaign strategist Lito Banayo, vice presidential spokesperson Barry Gutierrez, and Jyleazer Dela Rosa, political affairs chief for Senator Poe, will give the public a glimpse of their 2022 plans, just a few days after the end of the filing of certificates of candidacy.

Prof. Maria Ela Atienza of UP Political Science, Ateneo de Manila University School of Government Dean Ronald Mendoza, and Philippine Political Science Association President Dennis Coronacion, head of the UST political science department, are expected to talk about how the pandemic has changed the nature of campaigning and how candidates will navigate the new terrain.

The webinar will be held via Zoom and broadcast live on the Facebook pages of PCS and TVUP and on TVUP’s YouTube channel at 9 a.m. on October 13, 2021.
