Webinar #46 “Is my LGU Prepared for COVID-19 Vaccine Roll-out? Part 1”
March 26, 2021

Special Topic
The challenge of vaccinating millions of Filipinos is daunting. And yet, through a whole-of-society approach, many sectors are stepping up to the plate to do their part.

As the vaccines arrive, local government units play a critical role in ensuring that vaccination takes place and people receive the shots in their arms, with minimum wastage. This requires intense micro-planning, unimaginable coordination for logistics, cold chain management, the use of information technology, training of vaccinators and above all, leadership.

The preparations and deployment of resources for vaccination is happening against the backdrop of rising cases, concerns about new variants, mounting frustrations, exhaustion from the disruption of the pandemic.

The public looks to local governments to do their part – and deploy vaccination programs in the communities. Are they ready? What are the plans?

In our webinar, we kick off new conversations with experts and our local government leaders. We will hear from the Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje of the Department of Health on the current national preparedness and response; Dr Mahar Lagmay of the UP Resiliency Institute on the importance of digital data systems to move faster than the virus; and LGU heads: Mayor Joy Belmonte of Quezon City and Mayor Francisco “Isko” Domagoso of the City of Manila.

Join us and get to know if your LGU is ready to STOP COVID DEATHS through vaccination.

Stay Safe. Stay Healthy. Stay Connected!
