Special Topic
Everyone is talking about vaccination. Healthcare workers are the first to avail of this.
But how will it be done?
Current COVID-19 vaccines require two doses. Will hospitals (public and private) vaccinate all workers in hospitals? Within the hospital, who gets it first? Will other frontline workers in the hospitals (e.g. orderlies, drivers, guards, maintenance staff) be vaccinated as well? Are hospitals prepared with the cold chain-requirements for continuous vaccination of their staff? Is it mandatory? How about at the local government unit level – how will vaccines be given to health care workers who are in health centers, district hospitals? How will all of this be funded?
In this webinar, Dr. Gap Legaspi, PGH Director describes the plans for vaccination among staff. Dr. Lito Acuin, Hospital Chief of Asian Medical Center will share the plans of a major private hospital. Dr. Christina Padolina will share how local governments are planning to roll-out the vaccine for healthworkers at primary and secondary level.
If we all work together and plan ahead, we can protect ourselves and others from COVID-19. Join us as we talk about how health workers will be vaccinated.
Stay Safe. Stay Healthy. Stay Connected.
