In episode 1, UP Visiting Professors explain overtourism, its definition, causes and dimensions. Professors Brent Richie from the University of Queensland, Australia, and Kumi Kato of Wakayama University, Japan, lend their voices to explain overtourism in various contexts. The visiting professors were keynote speakers during the recently organized 2nd Philippine Research Conference on Tourism and Hospitality in Baguio City in 2018. The theme of that conference was: Facing the Challenges of Overtourism.
