Thought Leadership at the University of the Philippines: A Multimedia Oral History
The purpose of this Multi-Media Oral History Program is to capture, preserve
and share as detailed a history of the University’s service to the public from the individual
experiences of its distinguished men and women for the benefit of the current and future
generation of U.P. constituents. Consequently, this Oral History Program will provide
firsthand accounts of landmark events of U.P.’s leadership in Philippine higher education and
research. This will be an extraordinary legacy.
The reflective and spoken accounts of these individuals (i.e., the “narrators”) will provide
rich details and viewpoints that cannot be found in conventional written reports. Importantly,
these multi-media recordings have the potential to become inspirational learning experiences for the current and future generations of U.P. students and the general public.
